Does anybody else type a comment on a Facebook Post, YouTube video or any other social media thread and then completely delete what you’re typing because you worry what people might reply or worried they may take something the wrong way?
I don’t tend to worry about what other people think about me but online I find it a struggle.

  1. I do but not really because I worry what people will think. I’ll start typing out a response and then realize I don’t really care enough so I just delete it.

  2. The root of social anxiety is the same whether it be online or in real life – it’s almost always a fear of social rejection in some way, shape, or form. I personally don’t have this issue, but I’m guessing it’s fairly common. Online communication, devoid of important nonverbal information, is often misunderstood. Especially subtle communication like sarcasm.

  3. I frequently edit my comments but that’s only because not all of my ideas are worth sharing. Some are poorly conceived or antisocial or just plain foolish. I think a big part of maturity and wisdom is recognizing that most thoughts that cross your mind are gibberish or undeveloped and you should reject them until they return to you better formed

  4. It happens a lot , sometimes I ask a question or express my opinion and people take it in a wrong way and dislike a lot.

Social media is a weird place, some group of people have more limit, and some have more sensitivity…
If you blend with others you’re fine , but if you try to be constructive and and truly help, some people are not gonna like it…

  5. Only with texting. And there was someone I messaged with on here for a short while and at the beginning I had the same thing.

It’s more silly things like the “how are you?”
    or
    “How was your day?”
My day wasn’t that eventful although I enjoyed it what the hell do you want me to say 😂
But it tends to get easier as we practice
