Loud typer

I have to work up front the last hour. Supervisor is supposed to leave but always stays late. He types really loudly on the keyboard even has thrown it a couple of times out of irritation. I asked him what happened to his other keyboard (silent one) and he said he didn’t like it. Told him his typing was driving me crazy. He told me it sounds like a personal problem. I already don’t respect the guy because of similar situations. Am I over thinking this? Should I just shut up and get ear buds?

Note he can work in the back for the last hour but refuses to leave the front.

I probably approached him incorrectly
