Men who suffered from insomnia, what fixed it?

  1. Getting diagnosed with bipolar 2 and starting Seroquel. Good lord I didn’t know what sleep even was til I got some.

Before that, was self medicating with weed. I’d have insanely intense ptsd nightmares and shit and weed helped… But Seroquel is a better long term solution.

If you have insomnia go to a doctor. Sleeping meds are pretty useful. Makes you hungry as fuck tho, and eating a bunch before bed will kinda counteract the sleep. A full belly is not good at all for sleep.

  2. Not eating late, having a routine, going to sleep at the same time and waking at the same time every day, exercising and walking.

  3. A less stressful life routine. I had finished my exams, applied successfully to a VISA and broke up with my ex that added nothing good to my life.

  4. I tried everything… All i need in the end was a simple calm evening with wine and grapes.

    Knocked me out.

  5. Figure out the cause. Sometimes it can be a few different things. Stress being a big part of it. I also had night sweats but that tends to be from eating late especially things with sugar in it. I’d burn if off about 4 hrs later, and have fitful sleep. I recall roasting and feeling like I was swimming in bed from the sweat.

  6. Trazodone and cutting back on caffeine.

Unfortunately I slipped back into the caffeine lately but sleep has been alright for me anyway.
