Men of reddit who have a skincare routine, what are your steps?

  1. In the shower it’s a buff pad for the face, loofah scrubber for the rest of my body, hydrating body wash, exfoliating facial soap. Out of the shower I apply moisturizer basically everywhere. It’s also good for your skin to go to the gym and sweat regularly. I’ve also had a baby face my whole life, so that’s turned into a plus at my age.

  2. used to have an involved routine (had bad acne as a teen), but that hurts over time. stuff like salicylic acid will mess up your face if you’re not careful

nowadays I go gentle, just some cetaphil in the shower

  3. I have two face washes. One gentle, which I use twice a day, and one that’s stronger, which I use once every few days depending on how my skin’s doing.

    Toner after cleansing.

Anti-wrinkle cream twice a day, day cream in the morning, night cream at night. UV protection for hot sunny days.

I might start using hyaluronic acid.

So for face it goes: cleanser, toner, wrinkle cream, moisturising day/night cream.

For the body, I use simple body wash. Followed by emollient lotion.

  4. Eye serum, eye cream at bedtime

Facial moisturizer w/ spf 30 on my face once a day

Regular old lotion everywhere else (especially my neck).

  5. For face at least for me:

Wet shave with a DE razor using artisan soaps, after shave balms and aftershaves. It’s was crazy how good my skin got after shaving for just a month. I’ve kept it up for a good while now and get occasional compliments on how good my skin looks. There’s a thread in reddit if you’re interested r/wicked_edge
