Me (M17) and a girl (f16) from the same school have been talking for months and texting and everything has been going very good!

Both of our parents have already met and connect like puzzle pieces. Recently, we’ve went to the movies and skating as well as helping her with her maths. We both understand each
other really well and I can see myself content with her.

This would be my first serious relationship so I’m not sure exactly how to ask her the big question. I’m a shy guy and she’s the more talkative one lol.

With that said, how do I take our relationship to the next level?

  1. A great rule of thumb for dating in general is the idea of slow escalation.

    – First you’re going skating and watching movies together
    – Next maybe you can grab dinner together at a nice place
    – Next you can start hanging out at eachothers houses, in eachothers rooms. Maybe you’re watching a show or something together and she leans on you.
    – At this point it should be extremely safe to just ask her if she wants to date as she has demonstrated she likes spending time with you, feels comfortable being alone with you in intimate spaces like your room and enjoys making physical contact with you.

Assuming this goes well, you can apply this same principle when you eventually have sex for the first time. At every point the woman has a way to anticipate what the next move is and can back out without you accidentally crossing boundaries or making things weird.

Anyway you should be fine, good luck
