What is the most unexpected period cramp relief trick/technique you’ve discovered? (significant relief, not slight)

  1. I can’t explain why, but when my husband puts his hand over my uterus (slight pressure, just a firm hand) my cramps noticeably lessen. Like by a lot. WTH? I only discovered this trick recently but I replicated it multiple times now. Does anyone else have something weird like that that works that they can’t explain?

  2. My heated seats in my car 😂. omg the relief it gives me while I’m cramping during a drive **UFFFFFF** so satisfying.

Also, idk why, but laying face down with a pillow under my belly (right near the lower abdomen). Idk why but the pressure feels so good. I’ll prob fall asleep like that too lol.

  3. Honestly, burning the shit out of myself on a heating pad. I have a full wrap around and set it to high.

  4. Switching diet. I used to struggle with acne and period pain, clear hormonal issues. They didn’t start up until my twenties though and due to the timeline it’s possible it was caused by ME an autoimmune disease. Anyways could be worth a try! Being on the pill helped me but I was *so* tired of taking it. I therefore quit taking it and the hormonal issues started back up again. Luckily shortly after I changed my diet for other reasons.

    I avoided:
    – Sugar
    – Sweeteners (they’re just as bad as sugar)
    – Ultra processed and fast food
    – Conservatives
    – Lectine and starch rich foods
    – Flours. Wheat was the biggest no-no but for me I feel like my body prefers to avoid all flours.
    – Cow milk products. (turns out I’m actually intolerant!)

    I eat every day:
    – As much vegetables as I could for 2 of 3 meals preferably.
    – Clean meat/fish most days, ecological preferably. A palm size ish amount for dinner to leave room for vegetables.
    – Fruits and nuts
    – Eggs
    – 2 ish teaspoons of honey

My acne disappeared and even my period pain disappeared within 3-4 weeks. It had just started back up so was nowhere near full power yet. Not sure if it had taken longer if it was as bad as it was before I started the pill.

  5. I get really bad cramps sometimes. Putting pressure on my stomach always seems to help. Laying on my stomach, putting a pillow under it, or sitting with knees to chest.

  6. The ThermaCare heating pads practically eliminated my cramps. I got the neck ones and stick on my lower belly and they last all day. I use two a day for the first 2/3 days of my period.
