Portlandia.
King of the Hill
Once Upon a Time
I can’t think of any modern ones, so I will go with Alice.
Bonanza and Reno 911. Really liked Poker Face, but only one episode was set in Nevada.
Obviously South Park
There are so many that I can’t think of most of them.
But I do have to go with The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air.
Cheers, one of the best sitcoms of all time.
Full House.
House, M.D.
Sopranos.
WKRP
Golden girls! Although Dexter was really good, it doesn’t get much better than the Golden girls
The Walking Dead
Only one I know of is Gilmore Girls. And Hallmark Christmas movies…
Edit: I forgot Atypical was there. That’s the favorite.
Edit 2: Not slamming Gilmore Girls, I like it, too (esp. the first few seasons). I just *really* liked Atypical.
Reservation Dogs
St. Elsewhere
It’s neck and neck between WKRP in Cincinnati and The Drew Carey Show for me!
The Andy Griffith Show, but it’s not like there are a lot of other options.
*King of the Hill*. Though *Walker, Texas Ranger* has a goofy place in my heart.
11.22.63 was set in various places, but had a significant portion in Kentucky. If that counts, then that. If it doesn’t count, then Queen’s Gambit.
Joe Pera Talks with You
Apparently no New Yorkers in here, so I’ll say it: Sesame Street.
The Americans
The Wire for Maryland
For Virginia, I can think of a lot of shows that are mostly set in DC and have a lot of scenes in Virgina, but no good shows that are really *Virginia* and not “DC with some Virginia.”
Probably 3rd rock from the Sun.
Old timers will say WKRP in Cincinnati, Family Ties or the Drew Carey show.
Besides some reality TV, I think “Recess” is the only I know that takes place here.
Detroiters. Freaks and Geeks was also pretty good.
Bob’s Burgers.
Boy Meets World
The Bear!
Garfield! Jim Davis and I share a hometown and that’s where the comic strip and cartoon take place.
A lot of people would say Stranger Things or Parks and Rec.
Tossup between “Stranger Things” and “Parks and Recreation.”
Amazed I haven’t seen “it’s always sunny” or the Office yet.
That 70’s Show will always have a place in my heart
Stranger Things. They nailed the 1980s in the Midwest.
There aren’t many options to choose from.
* Probably my favorite is *Planes Trains and Automobiles*, part of which takes place here.
* *Ozark* takes place here but is not filmed here.
* The movie *Gone Girl* was pretty good and it was filmed here and takes place in the state but the town is called Carthage in the movie but was filmed in Cape Girardeau on the opposite side of the state.
