Women with chronic illnesses, what was your experience on your journey for answers and or a diagnosis?

  1. I have two chronic health issues. One they believed because it’s pretty big and obvious (Brain tumour). It causes a bunch of issues, like issues regulating my body temperature, issues with contrasting colours, and loss of some memories over time, migraines, and more.

The second issue was chronic pain, they basically said I’m faking it because they couldn’t see it. Sent me to psychiatrists who said the pain was physical and not mental, but the drs still said I was faking it. I hate people sometimes 🙁

  2. I have trigeminal neuralgia and doctors always told me I just had to be on medication forever and that was it. I couldn’t take the medication long term because it made me depressed and psychotic. I tried all kinds of ‘alternative’ treatments like hypnotherapy and acupuncture and nothing helped at all.

Someone finally suggested I see a neurologist and he was amazing. I invested in a 5 week treatment program at his clinic and am now celebrating a year without a relapse of pain. And no need for medication either.
