I got an Australian Navy beanie at the navel museum in Sydney.

A One Piece hockey jersey from Tokyo. Cool One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Spy x Family shirts from Uniqlo Japan.

A Pom-Pom beanie and t-shirt that said “Russia” during my Vladivostok trip in 2019. Needless to say, the hat is in storage and I only wear the shirt around the house.

  1. I haven’t been overseas, so… nothing.

But I did buy a shirt at a thrift store in St. Paul that says Norway on it, so that’s something.

  2. I bought my brother a hat when I sailed to Nova Scotia. It’s mine now. I cherish it.

And it’s a territory but I have two nice polos from a trip to PR. I don’t as there for work and wasn’t expecting time to go out so I had to buy something.

  3. Accurate recreation of a Victorian Prussian officer uniform, complete with the horsehair plume on the pickelhaube.

    Yes, I am that guy.

  4. Jack Wolfskin all-purpose jacket from Germany.

    Wool sweater from Iceland.

  5. Its super lame and hardly counts as overseas, but I adore my Mexican poncho.

  6. Asia is famous for bad English, but despite being next to the UK, mainland Europe can’t get it right either. I have some European made t shirts about Arizona and Los Angeles that are amusing.

I bought a lot of scarves while traveling. Alpaca wool in Chile, regular wool in Ireland, and some in Paris and Germany.

Also got a great deal on a nice Swiss suit

  7. I bought lederhoßen when I was in Germany. I don’t wear it. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t fit anymore

  8. I got an awesome fake Louis Vuitton bag in the Czech Republic. I bought it for the story, I’ve never actually carried it. It’s cute, though.

The rest are just hoodies. I have hoodies from England, Scotland, Germany, Poland, Croatia, Austria, the Netherlands, and Czech. I love them because they make me think of the fun adventures I had once upon a time. And they’re cozy.

  9. A baja I bought in Camden Market in the 90s. Kinda nuts for an American to go all the way to London to get some shit from Mexico but whatever, it’s a good lifetime garment and it reminds me of living there when I wear it.

I also got some Doc Martens when they were popular there, but hadn’t become fashionable in the States yet. But those did finally wear out. But I wore them in college and they went from “what the fuck are those ugly shoes” to “cool Docs kid, where did you get them” over the course of a few years haha.

  10. I have a black and red Chinese Hanfu (Think Mulan) complete with a headband.

I don’t wear it though. I was afraid of getting beat up in the street.

  11. A cheap pair of sneakers from Dublin. The most comfortable sneakers I’ve ever owned, and I *only* wear them if I’m going to be doing a walking tour or something. I’ll never be able to replace them.

  12. I buy soccer jerseys from everywhere I’ve been. My favourite is the FC Barcelona one I have that’s neon blue with the UNICEF logo on it. Also, I have a Swiss military sweater that’s the warmest thing I own.

In terms of cultural clothing, I have a kilt from Scotland with a formal jacket that I wear when I need to get dressed up.

  13. Was recently in Berlin. My wife has misplaced all the hats I like. We were in a tourist shop. Surprisingly the caps were a reasonable price, there was one with a good design and color, it fit like a dream. It is my answer to your question.

  14. I guess I’ve only bought a beanie as far as clothing. I tend to buy some sort of houseware. I got a really beautiful wool blanket in Iceland, a reindeer pelt in Norway, a statue in Scotland, a ship-in-a-bottle in the BVIs, etc.

  15. japanese kimonos are pretty popular… and everywhere else in the world they’re pretty expensive.

  16. I bought a really cool sheep skin jacket from a village in Greece.

People call it my Bane jacket, like what he wears in The Dark Knight Rises.

  17. Alpaca wool sweater in Peru. It’s got bright blue and orange colors in a traditional motif. It always gets compliments.

If I had been smart, I would’ve bought a dozen of them and sold them at home. They can easily fetch quadruple what I paid in Cuzco. I think I paid like $30.

  18. I got a jade necklace in New Zealand on my honeymoon that I consider to be about as meaningful as my wedding band. Which is helpful because I have to take my ring off a lot to protect it but a necklace can stay on.

  19. Acquired overseas? My BMW M hat and shirt I got at the BMW Museum in Munich.

Clothing from overseas but I got here? My Barbour waxed jacket and my Akubra felt hat.

  20. Tops and leggings from Primark. Glad to see they are opening up stores in the US now.

  21. Got a really nice flat cap in Ireland that I still wear to this day. Super comfy and it fits great.
