I’ve known my ex for 30 years. We were together for 15. He’s my best friend and roommate. There’s nothing going on between us. He’s my soulmate. When we were together we had a lotta sexual exploits and it was fun. Like A LOTTA fun. Now I’m not attracted to guys nor do I want a relationship. I haven’t had sex in 6 years. He knows this and makes comments like, “Did you see his ass?!” Anyway, we’re going to Greece in September and he’s said he’s going to get me laid. He’s on a mission. Wants to pay for it. Half of me thinks absolutely not. The other half thinks do it. The idea of getting pounded sounds kinda good and I won’t get attached. What do you think? I’ll take anything you got. Thanks!

“Sounds kinda good.” That does not seem like the level of enthusiasm required for this kind of risk. Also why pay for it? Why not just go out and have drinks and flirt and see how you feel? You haven’t had sex in awhile, maybe ease into it. Also I want to say, if you’re happy not doing the sex/romance/relationship thing that’s fine too. Don’t feel pressured by your roomate’s expectations. You do you.
