What romcom/romance novel cliches would you fall for?

  1. I’m a big fan of power exchange. Someone with a lot of power choosing to be gentle for me and me trusting and knowing, bone deep, that they would never hurt me… Makes me swoon! And the same goes the other way around. Knowing that I can protect the person I want and love from anything and them looking to me for safety would be a dream.

  2. Um, being punished. Super unhealthy in an actual relationship. Totally would be abuse in real life, but the idea of being disciplined in a fantasy story is hot to me.

  3. The rough looking, muscular soldier with some massive scars interrogating me. Hrrrrrrr

Well… My husband knows that kink.

  4. I would absolutely fall for the handsome baker/Christmas tree shop owner/antique shop owner/etc. in a small town convincing me I don’t need to live in a big city by taking me to the town’s Christmas Eve market festival thing and then oh no look at that mistletoe!

I could be making six figures and I think the right guy could sweep me off my feet and make me stay in his tiny Christmas town forever.

  5. A man putting in effort to woo and wow me in order to gain information from me over a lengthy time period.

  6. Ex couples brought together by unforeseen circumstances and falling back in love despite their initial efforts not to.

  7. The guy who uses the cheesy lines like:

“Are you hurt, cause you look like you fell from heaven”

  8. Wait, I have more – the guy who shows up with the boom box, like in Say Anything or when a bunch of parked cars drive away leaving the guy leaning against the car waiting for the gal – like Sixteen Candles (Basically any John Hughes movie) or the guy teaching me to dance and says “nobody puts baby in the corner” like Dirty Dancing

I really did not realize how much of a sap I really am – damn you Reddit

  9. The whole “live the simple life with me in this cute small town”. It’s obviously fiction to be able to survive as a quaint bookstore owner without already being from wealth. But if a shockingly down-to-earth rich boy from a kind family swept me off my feet to be half housewife half bookstore lady, that would be the domestic dream.

I’m highly introverted and very tired and all I want to do is take care of my living space and have time to read.

  10. Two straight men fighting over a woman then fall in love with each other instead 😆😅. And “guys love” in general .

    Enemies/strangers to lovers ♥️

Anything ” Jane Austin” preferably ” Pride and Prejudice ” 🙈
