i hope im typing this to the right community cuz i didnt know where else to. but basically i just wanna know what guys think about being approached/talked to by a girl first & how would be the right way to approach? i have this guy on my socials who’s mutuals with some other IG friends i have & hes soo attractive, & idk hes cute & brings me curiosity so id maybe like to try talking/getting to know him. i liked his story a couple days ago & he liked mine that i posted the other day but obviously neither of us have said anything to eachother. i just dont wanna mess up my approach even though its gonna be through DM. im 20f btw. idk but ive always sort of believed that a girl should be approached by a guy first , & idk i just dont wanna seem like a desperate girl yk. when it’s the other way around i just feel like shit doesnt work out. only cuz i’ve approached two guys in person this past year & yea eventually we’d stop talking (these are guys i go to college with & we didnt even talk for long either). these are the only times in general that ive approached a guy first but yea i clearly am a little unsure on how to go about it especially since this time im thinking of approaching through IG DM & honestly i feel like i do suck at making conversation sometimes at first. i do try tho. but yea anyway i was just thinking of replying to the next story he’ll post with something simple or should I just like the story & not bother texting first ?

Sounds good, yeah reply. As a guy, it honestly takes a lot for me to consider a girl desperate, so don’t worry about it there. If you reply to a story, that should get some sort of conversation going.
