Has anyone noticed a resurgence in the number of men who care about past partner count?

I recently started dating again and I’ve been seeing a bunch of content on social media about the discussion around women and their past partner count.

I’m wondering if this is all isolated to social media and online dating, or are women actually experiencing men talk about this and question them in real life?

I’m curious if this is an online trend, or an actual trend that’s coming back up within the dating communities in the real world.

Thank you for your insights

  1. Its more exagerated on social media. Theres a lot of reasons why men feel like it but its VERY exagerated on social media. Its the same as the girls who say they see their men as wallets yes they do exist but they havent realy increased social media is just shining a light on them. Most men probably wont care unless ur at a alarming number.

  2. That has always been the case. In every culture across history, society placed stricter sexual regulations on women. This is because women are the gatekeepers for sex.

And when i encounter someone who’s 20 and had half a dozen failed relationships, i will think to myself: “Am i going to become the next one?” and “does she have any standards?”

  3. It is a deal breaker for some people who are not so promiscuous. Whether or not you are ok with something is different than if they are, and some things are just deal breakers. It is better to just move on if the issue has already reared its head. Cause some things just do not get fixed.
