How do I avoid transmission and does it matter sexual positions?

Hello I am 24 M, does anybody deal with this virus and how do you avoid transmission? Any stories or methods you take to avoid giving it to your significant other ?
From what im aware this strain is less contagious especially on genitals but still some risk.
