How do I get my co workers to like me? I know I won’t be buddy buddy with everyone obviously but how do I make myself more approachable and likeable?

I find it hard to be myself in public. And I am going to be working alongside other people in a kitchen, and I want to be able to contribute to the work environment instead of holing up in the corner like I did at my last job.

How do I approach people I work with? I don’t know how to be a normal functioning social human being this is a cry for help. A step by step guide would be appreciated!

  1. Firstly, If you need help figuring anything out or such, you shouldn’t be afraid to ask them. Be clear and firm when you ask. Nothing wrong with needing help

Secondly be yourself and sincere. Sincerity goes a long way, people pick up on it. Start by smiling at them and asking them their name. Have casual conversation at times when it’s not too busy such as asking what they do outside of work, what major they have if they’re attending school, or if they watch certain show you like. It may sound hard buy it gets easier as it goes.

Take a deep breath and don’t worry. You’ll learn quick. I was in similar shoes when I started being a restaurant server two weeks ago. I quickly learned alot and boosted my social confidence.
