My fellow Californians, how would you feel about officially renaming ourselves from “State of California” to “California Republic”?

6. Would make no difference to me besides the wasted money doing it. Reminds me of the people shocked that the recall Newsom campaign cost the state money, like people work for free to do this stuff.

7. I say we rename it to “Commonwealth of the Island of California”, for *historical* reasons.

   I propose that any time any person says “California” they have to do it in the style of the opening of 2Pac’s “California Love”. The sampled/robot voice.
