I am travelling to the UK in the week and they just announced another overtime ban which screws up my entire vacation and might just cancel it and take the big loss of money because i cant be stuck in London for 12 days.
can you still get around fine? is it just reduced schedules?
Unoins are acting like travel was destroyed but others said it barely affected anything.

Just reduced schedules. Some fasts swopped to all stations. Maybe later starts and earlier finishes. Not the end of the world.
Hard to generalise. But published schedules should tell you what trains are running.
Greater Anglia actually emailed me to say the train I’d (arbitrarily) chosen when booking a ticket had been cancelled.
