I feel that if you don’t have a large history with a person or a group of people the less intimate and personal you are with them. In the meantime what do you do to connect other than consistently showing up for them. Sometimes in a group of people, I get left out of a lot of conversations and I don’t want to interrupt because it would be rude.

Is there like some positive trait the clique’s people have in common? If you naturally have something they like and also know your worth to not be a doormat, I feel like you’d have more luck of one of them approaching you. From personal trials being the one who’s actively trying to integrate into the group didn’t go well.
