Over to the Winchester, to have a nice cold pint and wait for all of this to blow over.
Scottish highlands seem like a beautiful place to visit, so probably there at some point. Other than that, I don’t know
Portsmouth.
Cotswolds
Islay Scotland
London is the last place I’d like to visit in the UK. I’ve already spent a few weeks traveling all over Scotland but would happily return. Honestly I’d like to go just about anywhere in the country, but the rural areas and national parks are where I would prefer to spend time.
I made it as far as Edinburgh, but I’d really like to get into the Highlands and some of the islands of Scotland.
I’d love to go to the Scottish Borders district and see Castle Ferniehirst. I have some ancestry with Clan Kerr, and it’d be neat to see that kind of stuff.
The Top Gear test track.
Berkshire
Brighton, Cornwall, Clovelly, the Cotswolds, Edinburgh, Scottish Highlands, York, Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, Leicester cathedral to see Richard III’s burial place and visit the museum. And many more.
My daughter lives in Southampton; I’d like to see the local sites in that area too.
I don’t know that I even want to go to London. I’d like to visit Ireland the Scotland. Maybe go to Oxford and visit the Eagle and Child.
I’m leaving tonight on a trip to Glasgow, Edinburgh, and the Scottish highlands, so that’s the top of the list currently
Grew up there but have still never been to the Cotswolds/Bibury and would really like to visit.
The Isle of Man. Such an interesting place, and I’m especially interested in its railways.
Colonsay in Scotland
I love the idea of travelling around small charming villages away from the cities. I love to look at old architecture in a “country” setting.
Bletchley Park.
😆 London would be very low on a list for me.
Possibly the islands of the coast in west Scotland
Bath
Chipping Norton
Always wanted to go take a look at Belfast. I’ve heard The Garrick is a good place to grab a pint but I’m all ears for recommendations.
Stonehenge
Belfast
Edinburgh and Aberdeen
That Welsh town with the incomprehensibly long name
Bude Tunnel
Liverpool
I’ve been to London, Leicester City, Chard, and Edinburgh.
Orkney
Bath!
I really want to go to Bletchley park, also Glasgow
Whitby
Devon. I’m a descendant of the English aristocracy and two explorers and the family still owns and occupies a castle. Hoping to knock on the front door and ask to crash there for a few days.
That and the Scottish Highlands.
Scotland. All of it.
Bristol
I’m in Ipswich every weekend since my girlfriend lives there.
I’d love to go to York again. And Yorkshire itself is just so beautiful. Yes, even Leeds. Manchester, meh.
Ipswich
My husband is English so I’ve seen quite a bit but I really want to see The Lake District, Cornwall, and York. I am crossing off my number one, The West Riding of Yorkshire (Brontë sister territory), in late February and it will be, well, Wuthering.
The Lake District – looks beautiful
I visited York on a day trip from London and absolutely want to go back. York Minster alone was worth the trip (for us, at least), and there were several things that we didn’t have time to see. I wish we’d spent the night there. Such a beautiful, walkable city.
We’re keeping a list of places that we want to visit on our next trip, now that we’ve had some experience with the trains. Bristol, Liverpool, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Islay are all options.
Slough
York or somewhere further north. I have never been and have been wanting to go.
In no particular order, my favorite places in the UK have been: Edinburgh (Scotland), Isle of Skye (Scotland), Traeth Llanddwyn (Wales), Cotswolds (England), and the Lake District (England). I would happily visit any of those again and actually have a trip booked to return to Scotland.
I would love to see most of Great Britain that I haven’t yet. We intend to visit some of Scotland that we haven’t seen yet on our upcoming trip (specifically the Cairngorns/Aberdeenshire and more of the Highlands north of Inverness), but I am also specifically interested in visiting the Shetland Islands, the Isle of Wight, and Northern Ireland (really all of Ireland but you asked about the UK specifically).
I’m also interested in visiting the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, and the Falkland Islands (if you’re including those).
I just home from a trip to Edinburgh. During that trip, I went on a bus tour that went up into the Highlands. It was beautiful, and despite being out of shape and how cliche it sounds, I’d love to go backpacking there some day. I also wouldn’t mind going back to Edinburgh, or travelling around other places in Scotland
Wales. This could be predicted, based on my username.
Belfast, Derry, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool
I want to go all over Scotland. When I was in the UK for a semester, I wanted to go, but the country decided to flood and the weekend I was going to go the train line was all messed up due to flooding.
York.
I’m from York, PA. I’ve always wanted to go to the OG York. I’ve heard it’s a cool place to visit. It also has a really big train museum which I am very much into.
Though I do have a friend in London I would like to visit first.
Portsmouth, to see the Mary Rose.
Skara Brae.
Edinburgh, Stonehenge, and HMS Victory.
Anywhere rural honestly, I want to see the english countrysides
