Yesterday, I went to the perfume shop and man, my mind stopped working. There are sharp, light, sweet and whatnot kind of perfumes.
How do you get good at choosing perfumes?

  1. I usually go with my sister when I am out to buy clothes and other accessories like sunglasses or cologne since she has a much better sense of these things.

  2. Best option is to go with something versatile and easy to like for everyone.
There are endless categories and options.
It will also always depends where do you live (climate), your age, personality, occupation, etc.
Also very important, what did you use in the past, and how did you like it?

  3. Actually pay attention to the smells. Same with colors. Learn the differences. First off, now you’ll know something other men won’t. Second off, you now have a bit of culture to you. I can’t tell you how many times I will buy a perfume that I smelled, thought of her, bought it, and gave it to her. She then said “wow, I never thought of that.” You are now thoughtful, inventive, and cultured. Very few men will be doing that for her.

By not asking perfume questions here but on the r/fragrance subreddit.
