Moving to Spain and creating a bucket list for my last days here for a while just wanted to see others ideas, if they were in a similar situation.

  1. Lots of baseball games. Lots of green forests. Maybe a few Chinese buffets, lol….

  2. I would eat at my favorite places, which would be local restaurants. I would also stock up on jeans to take with me.

  3. Go to McDonalds. McDonalds in Spain is pretty good but it doesn’t taste the same as American McDonalds and it wasn’t until we ate there that I realized I kind of missed it. Also, when we were there, they didn’t serve milkshakes, so you might want to do that.

Take so many pictures. Take pictures of your family, your town, your friends – everything. It helps with homesickness and your new Spanish friends will be interested to see them.

  4. I’d mostly just want to see family and friends to be honest. And eat a bunch of Mexican food.

  5. I would eat my weight in bbq. You can’t really find that anywhere else besides the US.

  6. Mine would involve all my favorite food places and the beach. Btw i am really considering moving to Spain after my kids are off in college

  7. Just hang out with loved ones a bunch. Eat at a favorite local restaurant maybe. Do something related to a hobby they might not have accommodations for in Spain. Everything else will still be here when I get back.

  8. Make sure those things I needed to do got done. I’m thinking banks, insurance, stuff like that. Once that’s done, then play.

Oh, and learn Spanish. (you asked what would I do)

  9. Rent something with a bitchin v8 for a track day or just to roll around in. You won’t have to drive much overseas but I’d miss the sound and feel of our brutish cars

Doesn’t matter if it’s a Camaro, mustang, corvette, challenger, or charger so long as it has the capability of being unruly since it’s mostly 4 cylinders from what I’ve heard overseas

  10. We were somewhere near Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold…

    Go out with a *bang*!

  11. Frankly anything worth doing is something I should have already done or have a plan to do. As a result, I’d spend that time hanging out with family, especially the most elderly people in my family that are left.

  12. Well I moved to Germany, so I would say definitely check out the national parks and areas that you wouldn’t normally travel to. It’s a huge country with a lot of interesting places and natural beauty, and I definitely wish I had taken advantage of it more while I was living in the US.

  13. Amtrak trip. I would take the California Zephyr from Chicago to San Fransisco. And then the Coast Starlight up the coast to Seattle. And then the Empire Builder back to Chicago. That means you see the great planes, the rockies, past Mount Zion and the great Salt lakes in Utah and through California and up the coast only to cross the rockies again to pass by Glacier national park and through Montana and the great north. I would spend time in the different stops. Chicago, Denver, San Franscisco, Seattle, Minneapolis-St. Paul. It would take time and be a little costly but it would be one hell of a summer seeing much of America and being able to relax while doing it and exploring some major cities between legs of the journey.

  14. Go tailgating at a football game.

Eat 5 years worth of Mexican food.

When not eating Mexican, get Chinese takeout.
