I (m16) asked a girl out a couple of days ago at a dance and after thinking about it for a while I think I screwed up. I don’t drive and don’t have a job, but I have the money and somewhat reliable transportation to get to a date. When I’ve tried to get to know her a little bit over text she didn’t seem to be that responsive and kind of made it hard to keep a conversation going. I don’t want to ghost her or even cut ties I’m just worried that I got ahead of myself and went too fast. I guess the point of this is to ask for advice for my current situation or even just in general, but also I have a couple questions: Does it look bad on me to want to meet up at a place instead of picking them up? How do I keep a conversation with her if she’s not very reflective? Generally how long should you wait to schedule the 2nd date assuming the first one goes well. If for some reason she offers to pay or want to split the bill should I accept? If I do decide to abandon ship what’s a good way to tell her without damaging our current relationship? Sorry this is a long one and thank you in advance for your advice.
