Where in the what state?
Assuming this is a fictional place… we’re gonna need some more reference.
I have no idea WTF you’re talking about.
Could also just be that I’m old and grumpy and out of it so I dunno something that everybody else does.
Chevy Chase, MD
The production lot is in Hollywood so I’d say probably suburban California though the sets are designed to be any generic American suburbs.
You’re not going to like the answer OP.
Fairview is most similar to… nowhere. The entire point of the location of the show is it is a place that didn’t and couldn’t really exist. It is a fantasy of the idyllic suburban neighborhood in the idyllic suburban town. Fairview is what every small town wants to be, and what older residents claim it was, yet it never came close. What *Fairview* did for Generic Small Town, USA *Stars* Hollow did for Generic New England Small Town.
The entire point of Desperate Houseiwves is that it’s hilariously unrealistic. Fairview is a caricature. Therefore there is no like it IRL.
I was a fan of the show.
It’s supposed to be a stand-in for any wealthy American suburb, so they deliberately make it generic. For the most part, wealthy suburbs tend to be similar anywhere in the country.
The architecture and vibes of Fairview give the feel of a wealthy Northeast suburb, but the weather and geography are very much California because it was filmed in California.
Chevy Chase, Maryland (like the other person suggested) actually isn’t a bad guess.
The point is that its a hilariously unrealistic depiction, taking several tropes and blending them together. Nowhere in the US is actually like that.
There are many towns across the u.s named Fairview, look them up and see if they’re similar.
