Of course, do reply. But it’s probably a MLM situation.
You can reply vaguely. You work in fast food? Say you works in customer service. You work as a teacher? Say you work in education. I’m not sure why they would open a conversation that way. Probably a MLM scam but it could pertain to something else.
Even if you know them irl, you need to actually meet them. Idk if that makes sense but be carefull.
Is this on Facebook? And I’ve had a couple scammers message me this way. A friend’s account gets hacked and they message you from it. If you tell them what your job is, my next guess is they’ll give you a sales pitch for some scammy service or offer.
I’d ask them why they want to know this or I wouldn’t reply.
Maybe they’re looking for a job
Maybe they want to employ you. To a pyramid scheme. Idk.
