A friend once told me that he doesn’t think I will find a girlfriend until I can find a way to address my anxiety. He was not very specific nor concrete about how exactly having anxiety would prevent me from finding a girlfriend though.

Another friend told me that many women perceive anxiety as the antithesis of confidence which I hear many women place great emphasis on when it comes to sizing up a man as a potential mate.

Given what my friend told me, I do my best to hide or conceal my anxiety when asking out or pursuing a woman I’m romantically interested in, however I think my efforts to do so might be futile, because I’m guessing they can probably still detect it anyways.

Is experiencing anxiety while asking out or pursuing an attractive woman, such a turn-off that it almost guarantees that she will romantically reject you?
