Most of my peers and coworkers always point out that I have a large head and make hurtful jokes about it when obviously I hate hearing them about it. It’s quite noticeable since the rest of my body is small and skinny although I work out 3-4 times a week in the gym for the past 2-3 years. I wish I could say that my large head has a lot of potential for me to be a genius but that’s obviously not apparent as I’m one of the less smart ones among my peers and have a very short attention span due to my ADHD which makes it harder for me to learn when performing my job. How do I make people shut up or disregard them whenever they keep bringing it up without acting like an asshole?

  1. Could casually mention theirs is shaped funny (or something like a football) and refuse to elaborate.

Unfortunately the best I can say is you’ll just have to get over it, but I understand it’s hard to BE over things when nobody else can seem to get over it. My family can’t think of a joke besides making fun of how short I am, and even though I’m fine with being short, they still never shut up. Maybe try kindly asking them if their intention is to be mean? Maybe that will open their eyes to the fact that they’re literally just insulting you as a joke. Or explain that part if they’ll listen.

It’s also possible to embrace it, but that won’t make them shut up, just make it less annoying.
