I (23F) am at an internship and started up an acquaintance with a coworker, 24M. Keep in mind that stuff like this doesn’t really happen to me as i’m very shy. A couple weeks back I mentioned I was free Friday night and that we should go to an Asian food restaurant we both happen to enjoy. He’s chinese i’m white if it matters. Anyway I’m not sure if he has a girlfriend. He posted a picture with a girl sitting across from him tagged on his story but I just don’t know. He hasn’t mentioned a gf. Anyway, I suggested we do something kind of casually and he seemed to agree and suggested yesterday night so I assume he’s single. Yesterday at work I saw him and he brings up the dinner. I panic and say my other job called me to work an evening.
He kind of just shrugs and doesn’t suggest another day. I’m kicking myself because I just self sabotaged probably my only chance of getting a boyfriend this decade if there was one. How can I move on or do better? What should I do? TIA
