It feels rude and frustrating when I’m trying to talk to or connect with somebody, especially family members, and right before the conversation gets going, they walk away pointlessly. And I’m left sitting there totally dumb founded… Does anybody relate to this or know how to better react to it and not get angry or frustrated? I’m mean, just being straight out and honest is one way to do it, saying, “Excuse me. I’m talking to you… Where are you going?” But burns you out quickly like, “what’s the point?”

  1. Seems like they don’t have time to talk with you as long as you want. People tend to have stuff to do. And some people can’t talk for hours.

It could be that from their point of view the conversation ended a long time ago. Maybe you missed the hints that the conversation is over and they were just saying stuff like aha/uhu/mhm. Maybe it was you just talking non-stop about things without letting them say stuff.
