What’s your favorite American lake?

1. Definitely has to be Lake Michigan, It may be an obvious one, but the reason why is because of the view in many pictures you can see of the lake!

5. Wow. Such a great question. I have been on many lakes but nothing terribly incredible but I did a number of buoy drops for the race committee front the Verve on Lake Michigan which was cool. Seeing the Chicago skyline was a perspective I think many should see.

   I am looking forward to other answers. I have seen Tahoe and Superior but have only seen…

   Omg. Wait. Lake Powell in Arizona. That’s it. That’s the best one I have seen and been on. Hands down. 🤦‍♂️

6. As far as lakes I’ve been to/stayed at it would be a small 400 acre lake just outside of Spooner Wisconsin. A family friend has had a cabin there on the lake in their family since the 1930’s. My wife and I have stayed there many times over the years before,during, and after kids for over 45 years. He has always let us stay for free(usually 8 to 14 days) because I’ll bring tools and take a couple of days to fix any problems. It’s a log cabin on 10 acres with it’s own dock, and it’s so secluded that some locals are shocked if they stumble upon it. Some of the friendliest small town people you could ever want to meet, and the serenity is only broken in the day by the fighting bald eagles(2 full sized nests at each end of the lake)and at night by the millions of ravenous mosquitoes.

16. I love our small lakes that only allow non-motorized boats on them!

    We have a lot of them and well, tell you my favorite is like revealing a favorite fishing spot so i cant. But Mass has 3000 lakes even though we are small so theres a lot to chose from.

    As far as bigger lakes? Lake Champlain. You can be on the lake and feel like you are the only ones on it. I kbow theres hones butvthe are sonehow so obscured by trees, you cant even tell they are there.

    Even in the middle of the summer, we can kayak and not see another person.

17. Bemidji and Whitefish. Can’t decide. Both are gorgeous.

18. Superior. It’s always meant I was on vacation.

    Huron is a close second, today it just means that I’m at the farmer’s market.
