Hey guys, determined that in order to be comfortable maybe because of age or just changes, I need to give up on boxers after 25 years for more support. Boxer briefs seem not to be comfortable for me, either. I’ve tried the ones with pouches and special compartments, and different lengths, but still aren’t comfortable.

Have you switched to briefs in your 30s?

Are there best brands to try?

Do you have any tips to get used to them?

Have you run into issues with anyone making comments about you wearing them?

Older dudes in my family swear by them and how comfortable they are, and never thought I’d be wearing them again, but here we are.

Thanks for your help!

  1. I mostly wear boxer briefs but like briefs situationally (Athletics, hot days, under slimmer fitting pants).

I’ve tried a few and like these best:

Stonemen – Soft cotton, great fit. Maybe a little on the skimpy side.

Mack Weldon – Airknitx HD for a synthetic fabric option and silver HD for a cool cotton blend – Both are great.

A good pair doesn’t take anything special for me to get used to, they fit right and you kinda forget they’re there.

  2. I switched from briefs to boxers in my mid twenties when my wife and I were trying to get pregnant. Then switched to boxer briefs after our 2 kids were born. That was before they had pouches. Wore them for several years then switched back to boxers, which I still wear now (60 years old). May give the boxer briefs with pouches a try, but have not considered going back to briefs.
