How often do you use incognito mode?

  1. Quite a bit, basically for any one time interest or search I don’t want coming up in my autofill stuff later. Even basic shit like double checking spelling or looking up an actor name I can’t put a face to.

  2. Hardly ever, I only really use it to see if my extensions/cookies are breaking a site or if its just shit.

  3. Any time I search for a stupid question, double check spelling, or open Wikipedia. I don’t want that suggested at any point.

  4. Whenever I have a question that i feel like is gonna make me feel stupid if someone sees I asked it

    Sooo…. daily

  5. Almost always except stuff I want the passwords saved like bills, banking, etc. not even because of porn just my ADD brain is always going down some wierd rabbit holes lol

  6. For every random Google search to avoid fucking up my ad preferences. At this point switching to incognito is muscle memory.

  7. Never (I use brave and set it to clear history, cookies, an cache every time I close the last window)

  8. Whenever I want to ask a random question, the ones I’ll never need again so why keep them in my history?

  9. Almost never anymore.

If anyone manages to see my history, I have two reactions:

    1. Okay, so I watch porn. What of it?
    2. What the fuck are you doing, searching my history? What is wrong with you?

My PC, my privacy. Anyone seeing my history in the first place is a breach of my trust – and frankly, out of all the fucked up things I have searched for, nothing is embarassing enough to me to make me look over the fact that you breached my trust and my privacy.

My history is nobody’s business, so I might as well keep it open. In particular because all incognito mode does is prevent things from showing up in history. Trackers and such are still active in incognito (which becomes particularily apparent when your tracker blockers stop a website from working and you open it in incognito mode and it works perfectly).
