Is being more internally confident in yourself your priority or is it appearing more confident to others?
Confidence increases as a function of demonstrated performance. In other words, we’re confident when we know we can do something effectively. Confidence varies based on circumstances and tasks at hand.
When we say we want to be “more confident”, that usually means we want to be more confident in social interactions. Therefore, we need to hone our social skills, which is a skill we can improve through research (to learn what to do and what not to do) and practice (to demonstrate performance.)
