  1. San Jose.

Houston, don’t even bother entering into the conversation.

OC, I will not hear it because I don’t hear lies.

    /end post

  2. My city has a food truck called “Pho Q,” which is easily the best *name* for a pho place in the country.

(I just did a quick Google search and learned that my city isn’t unique — “Pho Q” is a pretty common name for pho trucks. Because of course it is. It’s hilarious.)

I have no idea if it’s the best actual pho, though.

  3. In a nutshell: whichever cities/areas have the highest Vietnamese populations. So that would be San Jose, Orange County, and Houston.

  4. Maybe I’m not an aficionado but every one of these I’ve gone to in the world that had actual Vietnamese people in it was good. Taste wise… I couldn’t tell most places apart. If you put five bowls in front of me from five different places I’ve been to I couldn’t match them up.

We have one here that seems like it might be a chain or franchise of some kind. It’s in the rotation. I probably couldn’t tell it apart from any other place I’ve been except that they bring it to you mostly assembled.

  5. Pho is one of my all time favorite foods and any city of any size will have at least one really good Pho spot. As with most things in the US “the best” is probably NYC.

  6. I would think Orange County, CA has to be in the running. Not a city, but the portion of Westminster, Garden Grove, and Anaheim constituting Little Saigon.

  7. Houston. 100%

Honorable mention to Kalispell Montana for having the most surprisingly good pho I’ve ever had.

  8. If you’re in the New England area, you probably want Pho Bistro or Saigon NV in Malden or Pho 88 or Viet Thai in Lowell (Big Vietnamese populations in those towns.)

Well, just stay away from faux pho. I’m a faux pho foe.

  9. The best pho I had was in San Francisco but I’ve also had good pho in Los Angeles too

  10. Well I made pho from scratch about a week ago so hopefully mine when I made it lol

    (jk I’m not an expert)

But it’s probably gonna be somewhere with a lot of Vietnamese people

  11. San Jose has the best pho around town
