Or a story of times you feel like because you had to explain why you needed something, it lost its meaning (because it was no longer authentic?)

  1. i don’t believe in this concept. everyone should be able to articulate their needs and communicate about what’s important to them. no one is a mind reader.

    if someone anticipates and responds to your needs proactively, that’s a great bonus, and should be very much appreciated, but that’s simply not the baseline you can reasonably expect, most people are generally wrapped up in their own perspectives.

    the exception being parent/child. there it’s literally your job to anticipate and respond to needs proactively.
