i don’t believe in this concept. everyone should be able to articulate their needs and communicate about what’s important to them. no one is a mind reader.
if someone anticipates and responds to your needs proactively, that’s a great bonus, and should be very much appreciated, but that’s simply not the baseline you can reasonably expect, most people are generally wrapped up in their own perspectives.
the exception being parent/child. there it’s literally your job to anticipate and respond to needs proactively.
