Do you wish they were less common or less socially acceptable? Do you wish they were more common? Do you feel pressure to wear them?

  1. Neutral. They exist. Anyone who wants to wear them is welcome to as long as they are in an appropriate environment to do so.

  2. Don’t care, don’t feel anything in particular about them. I don’t wear swimwear at all and I’ve never felt pressured to.

  3. I like them and like wearing two piece suits rather than one piece suits. But I also have one pieces I like too. Wear what you want.

  4. I like them and they’re flattering on me. I do need to be careful I don’t have a wardrobe malfunction as I’m a bit top heavy and have a petite frame.

  5. I like them. But I wish it was more common to wear a one piece because I’m fat and don’t look good in a bikini, and hardly anyone wears one pieces anymore. But bikinis look great on the people who can wear them. How I miss being young and fit, ah…

  6. I think one pieces are more aesthetically pleasing to me (and for me) but other than that I don’t really think about bikinis. People should wear what they want.

  7. Neutral. Also I realized that for me bikini just vaguely means two piece bathing suit, so I’m not the best judge lol.

  8. I don’t think about them unless I’m buying one. If I’m not buying one and I’m buying a one piece I think about that.

  9. Don’t care at all.

BUT Sometimes I wonder how people fit their bits into the trendy micro-bikinis now cause I could NEVER.

  10. They are far, far more comfortable than one piece suits, and I would have strong judgement for anyone who wishes they were less socially acceptable.

  11. Not my thing, I prefer a one piece or an athletic full coverage. I burn and If I’m in a situation where swimwear is appropriate I’m usually there for recreation. Anyone who wants to wear a bikini should feel encouraged to.

  12. I wish women’s swimwear wouldn’t show so much of my pubic area. But this includes one pieces, and tbh sometimes one pieces are even more revealing down there. It’s obnoxious that society expects me to shave my pubes every time I want to swim.

  13. I wish I could look good in them, but aside from that I’m neutral. It’s not my business what other people wear.

  14. I wish swim shorts were more popular. Not just men’s swim trunks, but skin tight like a regular swim suit little shorts. I just trim my pubic area and wouldn’t feel comfortable exposing the hair in a swim suit, but because the style is getting even more risquée in the bottoms with that high cut hip style it means shaving if I want to wear a swimsuit or buying boy swim trunks.

So I’m fine with bikinis, but I wish the popularity didn’t extend to mostly bikinis, especially when the pieces are usually sold separately each for incredible cost.

  15. Neutral out and about, on the beach, irl. However – on social media, my feelings get a bit more complex. This is just my opinion and not a finger-wagging type comment, but I don’t vibe with the endless posts of girls in the bikinis that cover little more than a string of floss would. I know a few married/settled-down ladies who post photos in these types of bikinis with bums out dramatically etc. Again, they should have the freedom to do so, but it does make me uncomfortable. Like, I don’t really want to see an aggressive playboy version of the girl I go to pilates with when I’m opening IG to see dog pics, yenno? LOL

  16. I love them, I usually feel very cute when wearing them. And it’s even better if me and my friends are matching!!!!

  17. I think they look so cool~ I once saw a girl in a SpongeBob one, and I’ve loved them ever since. I wish I was able to wear them as a kid, but someone commented on it and made me uncomfortable, so I didn’t. I don’t go swimming now, and idk if I’d have enough confidence to wear one if I did go

  18. I like them, helps the mid section get tan. However, I have some really cute one pieces that I wear as well.

  19. I’m going to get hate for this, but they are perfectly fine as long as people’s buttocks and vulvas aren’t exposed.

  20. No pressure at all. I wear them because I like the way I look in them. I do prefer a boy cut bottom though for the same reason. I think a boy short accentuates my figure better

  21. They exist and they’re not for me. I actually gave up trying to find a swim suit I like. I use to love a swim skirt and a tankini. But the tankinis are stupid short all the time. I have big boobs so places trying and sell me a 100$ swim bra along with a $100 top. So now I just wear a bra that I have with a tank top I like and a tennis skort with the shorts underneath. I’ve never been happier swimming.

I love bikinis for women that love them. ☺️

  22. Neutral, I don’t think anything about it since it’s normal and common to wear it in my country. I don’t feel pressured at all cause I don’t even go to any swimming place to begin with, the only time I go to the beach it’s to sit my ass down and party.

The only thing I would prefer is that people who comes from countries where it is accepted don’t feel the need to be entitle to wearing it in countries where it isn’t socially acceptable during their vacation, like idk respect other’s cultures/society mindset.

  23. I have spent a helluva lot of time in bikinis throughout my life. Love them. I associate them with sun and water and doing not much of anything.

  24. Pretty neutral. I wear them at the beach/swimming/whatever because I hate the feel of so much wet fabric touching me if I wear a one piece. There is also a brand which reuses the same style with different prints so basically just repurchase those all the time ha. I’m not about to rock a micro bikini because I would feel very self conscious and uncomfortable! But otherwise, I don’t care. People can wear whatever they want.

  25. I’m trans and a modest dresser, so I am nowhere near ready to wear them in public. I’m more of a one piece person though, but even that I’m not confident enough with, and have never worn them in front of anybody.
