What was your best ever job and do you still do it?

1. EMS dispatcher for Pridemark Paramedics, which no longer exists. I loved the work, loved the people I worked with, and loved helping.

2. It was just the right place at the right time. I was working at a starbucks. My boss was the kind of guy that did A LOT of drugs in his teens, spent his 20’s getting clean and sober, then started a family. His family became local community champions for people in need— all kinds, but especially youths.

   My coworkers were all young college-age like me, somehow mostly LGBTQ, and so fun to work with. I never laughed more while getting paid in my life.

   It was a college town, though, and eventually people started moving on. I was offered a job to manage a new, independently owned coffee shop in town and my boss encouraged me to take it. They offered better pay and it was a great opportunity.

3. Director of Research and Development at an AI concern. Still here and still love it.
