I feel like during the early stages of dating there are a lot of expectations on men to organize the dates and pay for them and try to put your best foot forward. However, I don’t really know what I should be expecting from my date before we enter into a relationship.

I fall into relationships where I feel like I am the one doing most of the emotional labor and putting more into the relationship altogether. I just don’t understand what women are really suppose to be putting into the relationship as well or how it gets there.

  1. Hmm…

The relationship with their parents says a lot about the love they’ll give you.

You could ask about past relationships, and just keep on asking questions about what she prefers in a relationship… figuring her out like this, you’ll eventually sort of come to terms with what it will be like…

However. People learn and the roles people play in relationships, ideally, evolve.

    In short,

Just do your part here, meaning if you like the girl then continue. Don’t expect the relationship to work like a vending machine or transactional.

  2. You’ll have to let people fade away until you meet someone who is reciprocating your effort and excitement. It takes me about three dates to learn if I like someone enough to start being more vulnerable with affection and reaching out.
