After giving birth to my second child, I find I’m awake a hell of alot more than I’m asleep. Struggling to stay up at night when it comes to milking time. What wormholes/conspiracy theories can I get stuck into to keep me awake during the early hours?
I have tried Netflix, coffee, reading but nothing is keeping me from dozing off!

The Thai royal family tree. I think it was Rama 7 who just bonked all his sisters, I don’t think a single one of the daughters ever married and loads seem to die in their 30’s. It’s just a bit of a mess.

I’ve personally gone right off the idea of conspiracy theories as a harmless pastime, in all honesty. We’ve seen in recent years how treating them like a bit of fun can lead to really quite corrosive movements gaining traction and radicalising people. 🫠
Also, when I’m really at risk of dozing off I find that the only thing that will keep me awake is **doing** something that I need to concentrate on. Reading or listening to things, no matter how interesting a rabbithole they lead me down, will just send me to sleep. 😅
Maybe puzzles, duolingo, or some kind of creative hobby you can do one-handed could help? I don’t really have an artistic bone in my body, but it’s just occurred to me how cute it would be to have a sketchbook to look back at of things you drew or painted during late night feeds, and I might have to file that away for the future. One of those grown-up colouring books might be more achievable!
