The last time I went on vacation was in October to Universal Studios in Florida for their Halloween horror nights. It was a ton of fun. We have annual passes for universal but this was the first time we’ve gone down for the haunted houses.
I stayed a few days in Boston on New Years.
I’ll be taking a vacation starting Friday this week but I’m not going anywhere.
My next vacation will be my usual vacation in August to New Hampshire.
Just got back from Qatar. I had never been and it was fun! I also hit up the Dubai Expo
Recently. Florida.
We went to Austin during the Christmas holidays. That was the last real vacation, I’ve had days off from work since then but haven’t really done anything.
Went to New Orleans at the end of January/beginning of February for a “girls trip” with my sisters. Before that, went to Belize and Guatemala for a couple weeks at end of 2021/beginning of 2022.
I usually go on 3-4 “big” vacations per year, a few family visits that could count as vacation per year, and about a dozen weekend trips, plus many many day trips.
I like to vacation, even if it’s just for a day.
I went to Spain last summer … and then to see family around the holidays. Going to California in April.
Right before covid. Hawaii 🌴
Florida panhandle June 2021
Long weekend: Cleveland last month
More than a week: Last May, coastal Maine
Last International: June 2019, Iceland
I drove about an hour or two down to Orlando to go to Universal since it has that Florida resident discount thing and I also got an annual pass.
SoCal last October.

I took a train trip on Amtrak. From Chicago down through Texas and across the bottom of the country to LA.
Changed trains in LA, went up the coast to Seattle.
Overnighted In Seattle and took a train across the up of the US back to Chicago.
It was amazing!
I went to Charleston for a vacation with my girlfriend and left husband and kids at home.
We like to eat good food so we thought we’d give Southern food a try again. Not huge fans of Southern foods on the whole, but thought the town was beautiful and enjoyed the architecture.
I went to [Knob Creek](https://old.reddit.com/r/guns/comments/q6md3y/in_at_the_death_the_last_knob_creek_machine_gun/) in September with some buddies down in Kentucky. Was a lot of fun.
2015 UK/France
I had started planning a long trip to Japan around the end of 2019
(had planned on going spring 2021 after 2020 Olympics)
But we all know why that never happened!!
(and japan is **STILL** closed to tourists too)
I’m a dirty poor, so I’ve never been on vacation in 44 years of life. I’ve had periods of unemployment, but I don’t think that is the same thing.
Two weekends ago – Miami Beach.
Tomorrow – Asheville.
Last week. Spent the entire week down in San Diego with my wife’s family.
Great time to drive 1200 miles with these gas prices…
October. Took my 3 day weekend and went to Philly
Late 2019. Las Vegas.
Charleston, SC in January
What’s a Vacation?
I wanna say 2014-5?? Somewhere around there. Went down to myrtle beach
I reckon the year was twenty and nineteen. I went to Asheville, NC to escape the heat and see the Biltmore House.
May 2021. Went from Charleston –> Savannah –> St. Augustine –> Orlando –> Atlanta. Had a great time seeing part of the country I’ve never been to before
October 2021. Disney World.
I’m leaving in a month for a cruise through the Bahamas. And then in October we’ll probably visit Disney World again.
