I dont get it, i used to live somewhere else where i was super social and had a bunch of friends to always go out with, then in 8th grade i moved here and havent been the same since. I lost all my social skills, went essentially mute from sophomore year to junior year, and now that im talking to people again i just dont get why nobody really likes me. Like people “talk to me”, where i sit with them at lunch and we joke or talk cars or whatever, but not a single person seems to have any interest in me , and i rarely hear from anyone outside of school. I feel like where I used to live was so much more free, i could go out more and do whatever and now that im in a much bigger city it just seems so claustrophobic , and not having any friends want to go out and do stuff just makes that feeling worse.

  1. I totally get it lol I used to be so antisocial after COVID hit bc from ages 13-14 i was isolated. 10th-11th grade I wasn’t really social but had some close friends. I’m in 12th now and i’m in the same situation where I don’t really have any close friends yet (prob because today was my first day) but honestly I would say ask them for their insta or just straight up find them on insta and hit request. If someone gets weirded out or asks how you knew their insta just tell them that they were in your suggested insta area. If you have them on insta you can just text them ab hw and stuff and after a while you’ll be more comfy with them and you can ask them to hang out. But for the most part, in life, you’ll mainly have “work friends” or “school friends” and not really friends outside that environment unless you’re a huge extrovert. But you most definitely will meet a few people who are made to be your best friends.
