For some background: I recently started a new job and everyone is very nice and it’s a really positive and lively environment. In my previous job, I worked there for two years and never really felt comfortable being “myself” despite my coworkers being nice and funny. For some people it is easy for me to be goofy and playful and talkative but to most I am the quiet girl. At my new job I don’t want to be the quiet girl. I want to make real connections with people and be my authentic self which isn’t being held back by anxiety and fear of being judged/disliked. Does anyone have any tips for being able to come out of my shell faster/easier around new people? This is something I’ve always struggled with and I also just started college and want to be able to make friends and be more
open with my peers at school as well.
