Recently my cousin 18m moved to my 19m city because of family reasons. His family choose to put him in the same school as mine that i already have some connections.The broblem is that his character is completely different from mines and my friends group and i cannot welcome him to it. The last few days that the school started i have seen him strugle making friends and i have avoided making too much contact with him( because of his unusual character) and i feel like an asshole doing it since l have been told by my family to support him because of his character. I have already made the choice to be more in contact with him when i see him alone but i would also want some more advice in this situation.
Tldr: My cousin moved to my city and has been having trouble socialising. I don’t know what to do.

you say he has an unusual character but like… how? that doesnt describe anything about him like is he shy, combative? makes racist jokes no one wants to be around? what specifically makes people steer away from him?
