I smoke a bit of weed as a nightcap. It helps me sleep better.

Sleeping pills and sensory deprivation
Keep your phone out of reach
Do it on purpose not because you’re exhausted
Full stretch routine before bed.
Particularly the neck and shoulders.
Mouth Tape
Consistency and good sleep hygiene. Use your bed for sleep, sex, and nothing else. No TV screens in the room.
Treat sleep apnea. Don’t drink any alcohol. Wake up naturally without an alarm.
Do abdominal breathing !!

I bought an old-school alarm clock and started leaving my phone in another room when I go to bed. Huge difference. I read more, I go to bed earlier, and I sleep better.
Think you are stupid, you will learn a lot . 🤓
Magnesium
Once you get into bed find a comfortable position in seconds, then don’t move again
Invest in a good mattress and pillows.
Get up faster than hitting the snooze button, more energy. Day time power nap no more than 20 min to revive the brain, and make space for your 7-8 hour time to sleep. Invest in pillow first, then mattress, aim for max comfort.
Weed and my custom recliner
Stretching routine before bed
Gets all the stress out, makes my arms feel loose, and I fall asleep damn near instantly
Meditation. Even if you can’t do it every day, It’s always good to do
Don’t focus on trying to fall asleep. You’ll keep yourself awake with focusing on being awake.
Let your mind wander and realize you’ll sleep when your tired, and forcing sleep doesn’t work
Less sugar, more water, find a good pillow.
Blue light filters helped me the most
Piss before you sleep. Keep to a schedule.
Keep a cold room, but make sure your feet are warm. No electronics 45 minutes to an hour before getting into bed.
Learn mindfulness, do it for 5 or 10 mins regularly.
Done properly, it teaches your brain to set aside intrusive thoughts while you focus on your breathing and body.
Oh and also set reminders and alarms and timers in your phone.
Thinking about replying to that long but not urgent message from someone?
Set a reminder to do it tomorrow, then push it out of your brain today, confident that you won’t forget to do it. The difference between procrastination and organisation.
