Was in a popular NYC park Today standing in line to order food from a kiosk when a petite brunette seated in a chair nearby kept making eye contact. Rather than smile, I kept looking away. Then I sat in chair quite close to her and still couldn’t pull the trigger just by saying hi.

As usual, I feel like I forfeited a great opportunity to meet someone, and feel like shit.

What should I do? I’m not exactly young but look great in a suit and tie, and I was flattered by this younger woman’s gaze. I realize it may not have meant anything, but I did nothing to find out. And I know this is probably a better way of meeting someone than online.

  1. It happens to the best of us. Use this as a lesson and tell yourself that you can do it next time. Always be on the lookout for someone that catches your eye and don’t be afraid to say “hi”. Don’t beat yourself up about it, now you know and knowing is half the battle – GI Joe
