How do you know when a long-term partner is stringing you along when it comes to marriage?

1. If I can’t have a conversation about time lines and a shared future together with them, it’s probably not going to work long term.

2. I had regular and clear conversations with my husband about marriage always making sure we were on the same page. He proposed on our five year anniversary, but though it was a total surprise, I knew he had asked for photos of my dream ring and I knew his intentions. From there it was just patience and trust.
