don’t make it worse by coping with drugs and alcohol
Talk to someone about it. Ideally a therapist if you can. Therapy is the shit.
Don’t seek help from r/AskMen
EDIT: See a professional. The internet cannot replace the work of someone trained to help.
Therapy, finding something that relaxes you.
Avoid drink and drugs, avoid toxic people.
Know that it’s not a quick fix
Shout at the top of your lungs when alone.
Swim / box to release frustration.
Accept it’s ok to feel down and despondent
I would do everything you can to calm down.
Pick up a hobby that involves other people, over the years you will get good at it, meet people, and gain self confidence
Video games don’t count
Get professional help.
Deal with them before you get into a relationship
Ten deep breaths.
Therapy, exercise, time outside in nature, meaningful relationships with friends and family, and creative skills/hobbies have all helped me. Especially the therapy – if you think there’s even a chance it might be useful, consider it.
shift your focus, think of what makes you happy instead of torturing yourself with negative thoughts that destroy your body
You’re gonna have bad days but you’ll also have some good days too. Try not to let the bad days get to you because there’s always tomorrow.
Picking up a sport, hobby or course is a good way to express yourself, de-stress, distract and make new friends.
But if the problem isn’t momentary a professional help is needed
Hey Potato, dane here.
Take advantage of the free psych help you can get when you’re under 18 (they raised it lately I think?)
And go out for walks and exercise in general.
Best advice in the world. Don’t seek advice on social media.
