What do you do when you feel emotional for seemingly no reason?

  1. Check for sneaky causes. Period coming? Small but constant life stresses piling up? Is an anniversary of something traumatic approaching?

    If there is a reason, then usually I’d talk about it with a friend. If there is no reason and it’s just angst soup: make a good dinner, take a bath, cuddle with my partner, cry if the tears decide to come. And remember that all things are temporary and these big feelings will pass.

  2. Sometimes a distraction is the best solution for me. If I’m in a bad headspace, actively thinking about it is only going to further upset me.

  3. Tell my husband how I am feeling and he makes me feel better and usually reminds me that my period is coming 😅
