Should I give him a second chance?

I met this guy on holiday, thought he was a really nice guy, spent two nights in his room and one whole day together just me and him. I come back from holiday and whilst drunk, he messages my best friend who was also on the holiday saying “I wish I got with you but I really like … as well. You’re usually my type of girl, I really get turned on by you x Me and … really get on as well tho and I do like her a lot’. The ‘…’ represents me.

Now I didn’t know he’d said this until 5 days after he’d said it and me and him have been talking everyday constantly and even planned to meet up back at home. However I’ve now cancelled meeting him and don’t want to see him again. He keeps apologising and says he really likes me and still wants to see me but I just don’t think this is something I can get over and I find it really disrespectful and hurtful that he’s said this AFTER I’d spent all this time with him. I don’t think I should give him a second chance as I feel this is pretty unforgivable but I want to hear the opinion of others on the situation.
