3. My favorite real pirates are William Dampier (because he did a lot of fantastic research while being a pirate), Basil Ringrose (same), and Henry Every (because he’s one of the few big time pirates who actually got away with it). My favorite fictional pirate is, of course, Jack Sparrow.

4. If space pirates count then Yondu Udonta from Guardians of the Galaxy.
