Scamming through Texts

I’m usually pretty good at picking up on scams. They are usually not hard to spot.

If you are talking to someone on a dating app and they want to talk through text and give out an iCloud message contact, does this sound legit? Could they be trying to hack you or something? It could be tricky so wondering if anyone has encountered this.
